  • What's the difference between High Performance and Beginner equipment?

    High Performance Equipment

High Performance equipment is designed to be utterly dependable in a range of snow conditions. Suitable for all skiers and riders of intermediate to expert ability who want to experience the ultimate in performance across the whole mountain. If you’re skiing or riding blue runs and above, you’ll be amazed at the benefits of opting for High Performance equipment. If you’re a hard charging expert, our performance gear will give you the ride of your life.

If you opt for this type of equipment you will be able to choose a ski or snowboard from Summit’s wide range of High Performance models from world class makers such as ROSSIGNOL, VOLKL, K2, and RIDE. Moreover, you can interchange between models during the period of your rental. Switch up your equipment to suit the conditions of the day!

All Summit’s High Performance Equipment is tuned to the highest of standards at the start of each rental.

    Beginner Equipment

Our entry level equipment is from world class manufacturers such as Dynastar, Rossignol & Burton. They are suitable for skiers and riders of beginner to intermediate ability who want a stable and forgiving ride at a budget price. These rental skis and snowboards contain new technology called “ROCKER” that specifically makes turning easier and helps prevent your edges from catching in the snow. You’ll have tons of fun and the confidence to make speedy progress.

If you opt for this type of equipment you will be able to select your ski / snowboard length or choose to leave it up to Summit.

Moreover, you can always upgrade to High Performance equipment during the period of your rental.
